Elsa helps couples weave in family traditions, cultural influences, and symbolic gestures that feel honest rather than staged. Whether it is a blessing from a parent, a reading in another language, or a ritual that honors the local community, she finds a way to include it without crowding the moment.
Because we are local and small, the person you meet in the planning calls is usually the person standing with you at the ceremony. We do not pass your story to a stranger. We also keep groups intimate, which gives us room to adjust the script, the pacing, and the involvement of your family as the day takes shape.

South Coast Ceremonies grew out of a simple observation: many couples wanted a meaningful moment by the sea, but didn't know where to start. Over the years, we've refined how we listen, write, and coordinate so that each ceremony feels like yours, not a template. Here's the path we've walked.
2016
We started by coordinating small vow renewals for local couples who wanted a quiet spot facing the water. Most of what we learned came from trial and error: how to position guests so the wind didn't carry the words away, and when to schedule around the tide.
2019
Couples kept telling us the same thing: they wanted their own words, not a standard officiant script. We built a structured interview process that draws out memories, inside jokes, and the moments that define a relationship, then turns them into a ceremony text that sounds like the couple themselves.
2021
Not every couple wants sand between their toes. We began working with semi-private gardens and adding space for symbolic rituals, readings, and family participation. This is also when we started adapting scripts for couples from different cultural backgrounds, blending traditions without losing the thread of the ceremony.
2023
As requests grew more complex, we moved from just writing and officiating to coordinating the whole day: timing, music cues, readings, and making sure family members know where to be and when. The goal stays the same, though: a ceremony that feels unhurried and authentic, even with all the moving parts.
Today
We remain a local operation, working with a handful of couples each month so we can give each ceremony real attention. Our officiants know the coast, the venues, and the rhythms of the area, which means fewer surprises on the day and more room for what actually matters.
